This hair salon studio was completely transformed from top to bottom—scroll through to see the full makeover. We installed new flooring, cabinets, backsplash, countertops, sinks, electronics, and furniture. Everything is brand new and customized specifically for this client. We maximized every square foot to fit her exact needs while making the space brighter, more modern, and truly stunning. Bathroom transformation with a new vanity, mirror, two sconce lights, wallpaper and trim work. Spy the unique beaded wood trim at the top for a little bit of whimsy in this classic modern little half bath that was the most basic before. Green color is SW dried thyme to match the vanity. I also love this gold & marble toilet paper holder with a little shelf to hold your phone! I always opt for towel hooks over rings as it’s much easier to keep looking nice. Home office renovation progress. This one just a couple finishing touches on the shelves left, but otherwise has come together so nicely. We created a quaint, masculine, rich home office for this bachelor who loves aviation, and wanted an office that reflected his personal interest and taste. We created focused lighting, a nice backdrop for video calls with wallpaper, art, shelves and picture lighting, and unique focal points of interest on the other surrounding walls. While this space has a wide open center for a small eat in kitchen, it was better use of space for this client to add a custom island for a more functional kitchen with the custom options of a trash pull out, cabinet pull out, utensil/spice pullout, tray divider, and open side shelf complete with a dog food & water bowl, while also allowing for seating. Not to mention counter space for days! Now this home chef can really whip up some meals and display them with space to spare. Installed some #boardandbatten to this clients entryway this week, which was for a practical reason of creatively solving an ever common, and constantly reemerging drywall crack above a door, but had the added benefit of elevating this entryway, and making the room seem taller & larger. It’s best to use painters tape to measure and map out the spacing while being mindful to avoid outlets & light switches, and of how you want to hang any wall art, sconces, or mirrors in this case. With more and more couples working from home the need for two home offices is becoming more and more of a necessity, which requires some creativity. This room has had many previous lives, including its most recent one as a playroom. It also will likely have more so installing permanent built-ins as much as I’d love to didn’t make sense. With thoughtfully sourced inexpensive furniture, a beautiful easily removable peel & stick wallpaper, and moody paint you can still have a beautiful and functional office with loads of storage even with a tight budget. Also making use of otherwise unused spaces such as the corner of this basement is another way to create another office space when you don’t have extra rooms to do so. This custom built-in corner desk includes a keyboard drawer, file drawers & a printer pullout to make this desk extremely functional. We even created some sense of privacy with this interesting slat wall and hanging plants. A little built in refresh with some grass cloth peel and stick on the back wall & painted the inside shelves and sides to match. I had it lighter before so it wasn’t too drab, but with this paper in back it keeps it bright. My husband & I have been busy (to say the least!) over the last couple weeks building this entertainment center and seating area in the basement. I love the peel & stick so much I may add it to the entire room 😬 We will have a tv between the lights in the seating area (to explain the gap ☺️). Just a small upgrade to the fireplace decor. Replaced the gates with mirrors to make the space look and feel bigger and more grand as well as some overhead arm lights because lighting always does the same thing. I had this idea to find one of my favorite poems from one of my favorite movies printed on a tapestry and then found you can buy magnetic wooden end pieces to hang it. Got these adorable signs for the girls doors from an Etsy shop @yippeedaisy. So unique and great quality. Customer service was great too! As much as I love Avery’s creativity and handmade art, hoping this will stop her taping signs to her door that require repainting to patch every time she changes it out, which inspired this purchase! 🙄😂

Oh Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree!🎶 She’s ready for her close up! 📸Honestly it isn’t perfection, but with a young kitty and baby I had to pick my battles…there is a DIY contraption to block the newly crawling 10 mo old from playing with the tree and I’ve moved things back on the tree already more times than I can count😆 Although perfection is overrated, right? ☺️ Changed up the colors a bit and added the large 6” bulbs that are all the rage! DIY baby gate custom made to match the stair case. With the help of my talented builder of a BIL we put this together just in time for my 9 month old to become mobile. Since this is in the entry way I really wanted something that was easy to use and blended as if it was made this way. I also couldn’t use any screws since I only have two banisters and no wall.

Spent the day doing some Fall/Halloween decor and garden clean up. Ya know my bright idea to do during one of the hottest days ever. I love how the large spiders look and give me all the gourds! This is my favorite window box planting yet 💀👻🎃🕷🕸

Painted the DIY dresser built in to match the shiplap feature wall. Color is Sherwin Williams gauntlet gray. I didn’t like the off white paint against the white wall and this covered up the wood knots better that kept shining through. I love it! ESP the contrast with the lighter inside to brighten up the shelves.

We’ve been married 11 years tomorrow. We celebrated a day early with dinner at @vida.restaurant which was delicious! It’s small plates so you can try almost everything in one dinner. It’s nice to get dressed up for a parents night out every once in a while. No food battles or tired babes to rush the dinner. I am very grateful for the life we have managed to build with the best part being our girls even if they make meals extra eventful!! 🤍

Changed the master bed frame from the canopy bed to the platform upholstered bed so the cat couldn’t get underneath and chew the air cords for the mattress. Life makes you constantly have to pivot 😹Then I decided to finally paint the master white to contrast the dark Shiplap. I think I want to paint the dresser built-in to match the Shiplap 🤔Im loving the tie dye macrame wall hanging from Amazon. This is where I found the bed frame as well! It really accentuates the height of the walls and ceiling,and the scale is great for a king size bed. One day that desk will be a vanity 💄

Getting the patio together after winter during the #goldenhour since that’s the only free time we have with an 11 week old 😬 Have plans to complete a privacy screen behind the grill when I can find the time!Neighbors are great but I don’t need to be up in their biz whenever I’m grillin 😊 can’t decide if I want to make a modern wood privacy screen or faux greenery. Changed out the laundry room door for this glass door and added the decal for extra decoration. The window is nice because there are no windows in this hallway, but due to laundry noise we keep this door almost always closed. #lettherebelight ☀️

I love to find better ways to organize and let me share this @container.store find. It is perfect for your Tupperware. It has compartments to separate the different sized Tupperware and for the lids to make it easy to see what you have and quickly grab and go. The pull out makes it less of a back breaker and fit like a glove!

I love this little area of the house. It has texture, dimension, extra storage and light. Changing the drum chandelier to this open one made a lot of difference. Plus it allowed us to center the chandelier better to the table as the builder centered it to the wall. I was able to do so without drywall ceiling repair by choosing a chandelier that had a wide top mount.

I turned these #IKEA dressers into a custom built in dresser and open shelving display.

Nursery alert! Check out my daughters boho/neutral nursery. I added a deep green Shiplap for the back wall to add texture to this otherwise neutral color scheme. My other fav is the #cadenlane floral bed sheet and changing pad cover that included an option to include these matching floral prints ❤️

I designed this custom built in desk as I work from home and had to give up my office room when baby #2 was on the way. It provided so much storage I was able to clear out an entire closet full of office stuff. It’s modern and sleek yet warm and functional.

Check out these before and afters of a much needed kitchen renovation. The old kitchen had an odd half wall in the middle of the room with little to no work space or storage. We opened up the space and provided much more storage and work space with this custom kitchen.

I built this barnwood door for our pantry because it’s in the middle of a hallway so the outswing was always in the way! Not only does it function better, but it also provided dimension and texture to this hallway. I also changed the can lights to these pendants for a less harsh lighting of the hallway as well as provide more design interest.

This is an old project of peel and stick that I haven’t shared yet because I just recently found a shower curtain I felt was right for the space. 😂 Seriously I’ve gone through at least 4!! I know it’s a problem!! So for now...I think this fits perfect! Also the girls new #potterybarnkids towels came and I can’t handle how adorable! Ever since I was little I would look at the PB magazines and imagine having towels with my kids name on them like they do (Seriously what is wrong with me?!..this is also where I found the name and knew I would name my future child Avery).
